Patrice Matthews draws from a vibrant array of Caribbean influences to create her art. With a lifelong passion for painting, sewing, writing, and crafting, she embraced the Covid-19 pandemic as an opportunity to explore something new in collage art. Her art and has evolved into more complex works made from upcycled materials into captivating works of art, with a particular fondness for hummingbird and animal themes. 

 

Her talent was formally recognized in 2021 when she was registered as a visual artist by the Artist Registry of Trinidad and Tobago. Patrice's artwork has now been showcased in numerous exhibitions at major local art galleries and at the T&T Consulate in NY, NY. 

 

Her pieces continue to garner appreciation both locally and internationally, finding homes across the globe.
